I think this was cute, if not very rough around the edges. I didn't hate this. I understand what it was going for and what it wanted to be. And yet, it did not get there. It fell rather flat. The story felt like it had concluded five minutes in, but it still kept going, which I didn't mind, but the story's actual ending didn't feel needed.
