Watching the familiar streets of Thessaloniki in Greece that I frequently strolled between 1977 and 1990 brings happy memories of the time when Greece was an economic super power of the Balkans… and I am so glad that the EU didn’t manage to kill the eternal flame of art lovers in this country (and the ancient city) as they killed the economy and freedom.
