Underwhelming. <em>'Christmas in Evergreen'</em>, the first of this four film series, is alright Xmas viewing, but it didn't make an impression on me unfortunately. I like Ashley Williams (Allie) in the lead role, but no-one else particularly stands out in my memory. The story is OK, it has the required amount of festive vibes but it is written averagely. Despite the overt title, it spends practically the first half of the film doing a 'will they, won't they' stay sorta thing which is tiresome. The 'Santa' angle is over-sentimental, too.
