The Caliph of Baghdad tries to flee the invading hordes with his young son - but at the point of escape is betrayed by his ambitious brother and killed. The boy (Sabu) however, manages to escape and ends up with a troupe of travelling performers including the beautiful "Sherazade" (Maria Montez) and sets about reclaiming what is rightfully his. It's a bit of a hybrid of many Arabian Nights style stories this one, Aladdin and Sinbad feature at various stages, but has lots of sword fights, plenty of lavish costumes and sets, and flows well enough towards a fairly predictable ending - even if Mont...
