It isn't nostalgia. Back when I was 12 this movie sucked. And I am only revisiting it because, well, because I hadn't seen it wince I was 12 and all the other Science Fiction movies I've either seen a million times, or are Woke and modern. So, it its not really good, but given that i am watching it in 2022, when everything has an agenda and characters are checked boxes based on their most surface characteristics and nothing more... ... it's a pretty decent post apocalyptic adventure.
